My name is Nixon Carswell. I am an 18-month-old Weimaraner. I have been coming to Magnolia Pet Resort since they first opened. I started going right after I found out that I had this love for eating rocks. I would dig up the yard just to find one rock and swallow it! No, No, that doesn’t seem right…Maybe it was right after I realized that I could chew and scratch through the drywall in the kitchen.
I used to get so upset when mom would leave for work. But that doesn’t seem right either. See, mom took me to the vet and they put me on a bunch of medicine. It really made my mind cloudy. What really made me better was just having something to do. I just have too much energy.
When I go to Magnolia Pet Resort, I would go for the Doggie Day Care. Which was perfect for me, because it helped with my separation anxiety. It didn’t take me long to prove that I didn’t need any medication after all. Then they started offering courses for clicker training and agility! I really enjoy agility training. They also have a Hydro-surge bath that my mom would get me occasionally.
Then my mom goes and finds Ben, a lost Black Lab. He is okay, but is a little ball-obsessive. We get along all right. He is one of those Labradors that love the pool at Magnolia. Ben and I have also spent quite a few nights at Magnolia. The people there are very friendly. There are people there just to play with us! Since we are big dogs, we have a big room inside that stays heated and cooled and a run outside in the sun. What makes mom feel safe when she leaves me here is that they are staffed by knowledgeable persons and Magnolia is owned by veterinarians!
